We use it to test updates to make sure they actually work on our main infrastructure (nope, we're not currently looking for beta testers). Groovy Beta is basically our testing bot. Groovy Beta and Groovy Dev are private and used for different phases of development. These bad boys function exactly like the normal Groovy but can be used independently from it, allowing two or three voice channels at a time for even groovier music sessions. To solve this, we've perked up our supporters by allowing them to have a second and third copy of Groovy: Groovy 2 and Groovy 3. This is a limit imposed by Discord and very unlikely to change (although, we have asked Discord to do so). One thing Groovy can't do though is being in multiple voice channels on the same server at once. Groovy can do a lot of wonderful things: playing music for your pals to listen along to, helping you study with lo-fi hip-hop, or playing Despacito at 400% volume to prank your friends.
